About Glynn-Williams & Associates
Dr Glynn-Williams received a BSc (hons) in Psychology from the Univeristy of Leeds in 1995. She then began work in the NHS as an Assistant Psychologist in the fields of brain injury rehabilitation and older people’s mental health. After a further year working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems and learning disabilities in Ashworth maximum security hospital.
Dr Glynn-Williams then studied for a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool for three years, qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2000.
Her research has been in the field of psychological issues and treatment in chronic pain.
Since qualifying, Dr Glynn-Williams has worked across many different areas in the NHS in in-patient, out-patient and community settings. She has worked across the adult age-range with people with many different difficulties, including depression, adjustment to physical illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, brain injury and dementia, people with anxiety problems, post-traumatic stress and also more long-standing difficutlies, such as psychosis and bipolar depression. She has taught at doctorate level and provided supervision for junior and qualified staff in the NHS and private sector.
She established her current independent practice in Rodney Street, Liverpool in 2007, providing psychological assessment and therapy services, predominantly to the personal injury sector. She began providing medico-legal reports for the civil courts in 2011.
Dr Glynn-Williams achieved an NHS Clinical Lead post in 2012, becoming clinically responsible for the safety and effectiveness of NHS primary care psychological therapies in Wirral.
Dr Glynn-Williams has now moved fully into independent practice, continuing to provide a range of assessment, psychological therapy, medico-legal and professional support services within the private sector.
